HELPER Automatic Sausage Flow Wrapping Machine
Form a pillow-style pack around individual or grouped sausages using continuous film feeding, longitudinal sealing, cross sealing and cutting.

Wrap, seal and cut in one continuous horizontal process
The BOSS450/132-X is a horizontal flow wrapping machine. A film roll passes through the guide rollers and forming box, creating a tube around the incoming product. The longitudinal sealing wheels close the film tube, while the rotary cross-sealing jaws seal both ends and separate each finished pack.
This format suits straight, dimensionally stable products such as cooked sausages and hot dogs when the product spacing, film structure and bag size are matched to the machine. It is different from thermoforming vacuum packaging: this machine forms pillow-style packs from a continuous film web and does not form rigid cavities.
Recipe-based operation for format changes
- Three-servo drive and touchscreen control
- Recipe memory for up to 10 product settings
- No-product / no-bag logic to reduce empty packs
- Adjustable bag length, speed and sealing settings
- Open machine-body design for access and maintenance

Performance boundary: accepted pack rate depends on product dimensions, grouping pattern, film thickness, sealing window, spacing stability and upstream feeding. Final performance must be confirmed with product and film trials.
Four steps from product infeed to finished pack
What to watch in the sausage flow-wrapping sequence
These two HELPER videos show grouped ham sausages moving through the infeed, film-forming, longitudinal-sealing, cross-sealing and cutting stages. Watch the product spacing and film path: both must remain stable for consistent pack length and seal position.
The footage demonstrates the operating principle and visible pack flow. It does not by itself establish a guaranteed speed, automatic counting scope or suitability for every sausage size; those points are confirmed in the final configuration and trial protocol.
Define what belongs before and after the wrapper
The standard BOSS450 configuration includes the wrapping machine and its infeed conveyor. Automatic sausage sorting, counting, grouping and timed loading are selected as additional modules when required. Nitrogen flushing, date coding, label application, checkweighing, metal detection and finished-pack collection can also be evaluated as options.
For a reliable proposal, provide the sausage length and diameter range, pieces per pack, desired arrangement, film structure and thickness, printed-film registration requirement, pack dimensions, target accepted output and available line space.
Approve real packs, not empty cycles
Run the actual sausage and final film at minimum, nominal and maximum product conditions. Record accepted packs per minute, empty packs, film tracking, seal position, end-seal appearance, longitudinal-seal integrity, damaged products, film waste and restart behavior.
When gas flushing is included, define the test method and target residual oxygen. When automatic feeding is included, verify correct piece count and recovery after product gaps or downstream stops.
Sausage flow wrapping questions
Is this a vacuum packaging machine?
No. It is a horizontal pillow-style flow wrapper. For formed vacuum packs, compare the sausage sorting and thermoforming packing line.
Does the standard machine automatically count and group sausages?
Counting, grouping and automatic timed loading are selected as upstream modules when required.
Can it pack different sausage sizes?
Yes, within the stated package range and after confirming the former, sealing jaws, film and recipe settings for each format.
Is 90 packs per minute guaranteed?
No. The published 20–90 packs/min value is a reference operating range. Guaranteed accepted output requires a trial using the actual product, grouping pattern and film.
Send the sausage and pack format
Share product dimensions, pieces per pack, film data, required automation, target output and factory layout so HELPER can define the wrapper and its upstream and downstream interfaces.
