Cut ribs and firm meat with a vertical guillotine action

The QK series is distinct from a three-dimensional grid dicer. Its integrated grooved blade moves vertically to divide a presented product into repeated sections. The official application list includes tempered frozen meat at about -5°C, pork and lamb ribs, chicken and duck. It is therefore suited to bone-in portions and firm products that require a durable chopping action.

Cut quality depends on more than nominal pitch. Bone diameter and orientation, product thickness, core temperature, fat condition and feeding consistency all affect fracture, splintering and weight variation. Representative raw material should be used for acceptance testing.

The 2026 catalog specifies a 380 V supply. It does not publish a dependable kg/h rating or maximum loading section. Engineering and acceptance

Define a sellable portion—not only a cutting speed

Stroke rate is a machine-cycle figure, not a guaranteed production capacity. A useful factory acceptance test records good kilograms per hour after excluding rework, fractured bone, out-of-tolerance portions and loading interruptions.

Raw-material specification

Provide species, cut name, bone-in percentage, minimum and maximum dimensions, incoming shape, surface and core temperatures, and variability between lots. The page's approximate -5°C statement is an application reference rather than a universal setpoint.

Safety and loading

Confirm infeed guarding, interlock behavior and the operator's loading method. The installed feed device must prevent access to the knife path. Validate emergency-stop response during site commissioning.

Cleaning verification

Lock out and isolate the machine before removing the feed module or opening guards. Inspect the grooves, blade interfaces, discharge chute, wheels and enclosure seams. Include reassembly checks in the sanitation SOP.

Required trial report

Record net good output, size and weight distribution, bone splintering, fines, product temperature before and after cutting, operator count, cleaning time, noise and safety observations.

Is this the same machine as the DRQD three-dimensional dicer?

No. QK-300/400 uses an up-and-down grooved guillotine for repeated sections and bone-in applications. DRQD uses a different three-direction cutting principle for cubes, strips or slices.

Can it cut product colder than -5°C?

The exact official description specifies suitability around -5°C but does not publish a validated full temperature range. Trial the coldest and warmest actual product before selection.

Which cutting sizes are available?

Published grooved-knife spacings are 31.6, 28.25, 25, 23.12 and 21.15 mm. Confirm resulting dimensions and weights with real ribs because bone geometry affects the outcome.
